All out war against fixers

Reports from various sources have indicated that unscrupulous persons continue to victimize our hapless veterans in claiming their pension benefits from PVAO. Some of these so called “fixers” exact as high as a 50-50 partition of the claimant’s money. This practice is highly unconscionable and necessitates immediate drastic actions.

As the vanguard of all veterans’ interest, PVAO officials and employees have an official and moral obligation to safeguard the financial interests of our veterans, especially from the greedy claws of fixers. We must condemn, in the strongest terms possible, this menace which not only wreaks damage to our claimants but also smears the image of this office.

PVAO has institutionalized the Anti Fixer Action Group, which is the primary unit that acts on all matters related to fixing. Likewise, the persons who have been apprehended “in flagrante” extorting money from claimants have been duly prosecuted. Notwithstanding these aggressive efforts to arrest the proliferation of fixers, the practice of “fixing” still persists.

Fixers cannot survive in a hostile environment. For this reason, all PVAO employees are strongly urged to make a unified and uncompromising stand against “fixers” by reporting all “fixing” activities that may come to their attention. The suggestion boxes, the PVAO SMS 2920 and other means of reporting must be used to the maximum and put to bear against fixers.

It is only by consolidating all our efforts and coordinating all our actions can we win the war against fixers.
