10 March 2017, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines Finance Center Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AFPFC-MPC) held its Annual General Assembly and Election of Board of Directors and Committees’ Members at the Armed Forces of the Philippine Commissioned Officers Club (AFPCOC), which was graced by the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) Administrator LtGen. Ernesto G. Carolina as Keynote and Guest Speaker.
In his keynote speech, PVAO Administrator Carolina commended the cooperative for its success today, “without your hard work, cooperation and adherence to the cooperative values, the AFPFC-MPC would not have gone this far.” He also lauded one of the cooperative’s founders and Board of Directors Chairman BGen. Lysias Cabusao (Ret) for serving as his mentor -- having embodied the values of cooperativism in his professional life. As the PVAO Administrator, General Carolina related well with the AFPFC-MPC’s satellite office system called the Reaching Out [to] our Members through Satellite Offices, which is similar to the Field Service Extension Office (FSEO) system of PVAO. Both the ROSO and FSEO assure that clients nationwide are served with most responsive service at their reach.
It is of note that from AFPFP-MCP’s original 109 members in 1989, the cooperative grew to more than 24,000 members; its assets also reached the PhP3-billion bracket as of this time. It ranked at number four in Metro Manila and number 6 in the country, making it a member of the elite Coop Billionaires Club of the Philippines.
